Hi, I’m Ro.
By default, I’m indoors. I like my own little quiet corner, familiar routines, and the comfort of staying in. But I also believe that life happens outside, and sometimes you just need a reason to step into it.
Proof I Go Outside began as a personal and self-deprecating joke. A way to document the rare days I left the house. Over time, it became something more intentional. This space is now my photography portfolio, a growing media platform, and a living archive of experiences beyond my front door.
I document real moments across music, events, food, and travel in Manila and beyond. Some days that means wandering into a café and noticing how the afternoon light hits a table. Other nights, it means standing in a packed venue photographing live bands, small gigs, and concerts that deserve to be remembered.
Music is a major part of my life. Concert photography, especially within the local scene, feels less like work and more like a privilege. There is something powerful about translating sound and moments on stage into images. The sweat, the silence before the first chord, the chaos after the encore. These are collective experiences, and they matter.
But Proof I Go Outside is not just about live music coverage. It is about culture. Community. The small events that shape cities. The restaurants you discover by accident. The destinations that feel different when you slow down. The in-between moments that don’t always make headlines but define everyday life.
This platform exists to document those stories through photography and written features. It is both personal and public. A portfolio of visual storytelling, and a future-forward creative media outlet focused on authentic experiences outside.
If you are a fellow homebody who needs a bit of push to explore, welcome. Feel free to cancel last minute. If you are an artist, event organizer, brand, or venue looking for thoughtful coverage, you are in the right place too.
This is proof that I go outside.
And proof that what happens out there is worth documenting..
